Having spent my whole career working within the creative sector of both Advertising and Design I decided quite recently to concentrate on my passion for painting predominantly animals, along with other subjects. There is no better feeling than delivering the finished image of a clients beloved pet, or pets, and seeing their reaction, however my favourite time is the first session of actually starting a new painting… the composition (whereby I deliver a sketched image to the client) and the application of initial colours to see the painting coming to life. As you will see from my work I adopt a realism approach with as much fine detail as I feel is necessary to keep the finished result looking like a painting and not a photograph.
